A few months ago, my awesome realtor (Chris Suh) introduced us to Kristine and Tom.  Chris was helping them buy their home, and he told me that they were a really kind, friendly, and warm couple – and that they needed a wedding photographer!

So, my wife and I met with Kristine and Tom, and I instantly we hit it off.  Throughout the months, I’ve been following up with Kristine, trying to see if she needed any help for her wedding.  So far, she’s done a great job.

Now fast forward to May 17, 2012 – it’s the afternoon of their wedding rehearsal.  Because of everyone’s busy schedules, we weren’t able to get together for an engagement session…until today  Their wedding was just 2 days away, but I wanted to make sure they had some engagement photos.

After the wedding rehearsal, we spent a few hours together at the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Gardens at CSULB, then transitioned to Seal Beach (where I grew up).  My good friend and assistant David Sno came along for the entire ride and helped me with everything!

Afterwards, we all hit up El Burrito Jr and had some delicious food!  We said our goodbyes, and I came home, watched the results of American Idol with my wife, and started editing right away.

I met Ryan a few years ago at my old corporate marketing job.  He was an accountant, and I was a marketing guy.  He would haggle over my inability to properly staple and categorize my receipts.  I would haggle him on getting my expense checks!

Fast forward a few years later, and he’s now engaged!  I had heard a lot of great things about Lynette, and I was extremely excited to finally get to shoot their engagement session (and their upcoming wedding)!

Lynette had gone out the day before our engagement session with her mom to scout out locations.  They went to check out this tree-covered road in South Orange County that her uncle had recommended, went down to San Juan Capistrano to see the railroad tracks, snuck into a restaurant, and toured the Ritz Carlton!

Nicole contacted me to do some family photos, and of course, I was more than happy to do so!  They recently had baby Kimmy, who was so cute and adorable!  She didn’t really cry during our session, and if she did, her brother Josh would help us calm her down.  You can really tell that he loves his baby sister, and I’m sure he’ll be just as protective when they grow up!

I have to give props to Nicole for making Kimmy’s tu-tu costume by scratch!

They were such a pleasure to work with, and I can’t wait to see the kids grow up!

I’ve had the pleasure of shooting Bonnie & Derrick’s engagement session last year.  Bonnie is actually my sister-in-law (her sister is my brother’s wife), but I feel she’s more like an actual sister to me, since I’ve known her forever!  Plus, she’s always helped me out whenever I needed it.

Bonnie and Derrick have been together for quite a while, and it was great to add him to our family.  He’s a great guy, and perfect for Bonnie!

We did a quick e-session in downtown Orange and Chapman University.  Check out the pictures!
